17 And now may God grant unto these, my brethren, that they may sit down in the kingdom of God; yea, and also all those who are the fruit of their labors that they may go no more out, but that they may praise him forever. And may God grant that it may be done according to my words, even as I have spoken. Amen.

Did Alma's prayer just bless me? Am I a part of the fruit of their labors? I think so? (Thanks, Alma!)

I still wonder why Mormon placed this prayer right here, in the middle of telling his story? Aaaand- Mormon's life was full of war and trouble. Wheeeen (and HOW) did he find time to put together such as inspired book with such inspired, thoughtful commentary?

This book is taking me a lifetime to unwrap. How and when did he write/abridge/organize it with such perfect precision and inspiration?

Quite a project.

I'm glad he had it, so he could think of and cling to Christ in those dark times for him and his son.
