7 And Ammon said: I will go and inquire of the Lord, and if he say unto us, go down unto our brethren, will ye go?

So this verse fascinates me.

Had he not already prayed about it?

If not, was he inspired anyway?

Because we know that God wants this because of His answer to Ammon when he does pray.

So, I'm curious about "our" thoughts.

How many of "my" thoughts are inspired? How guided am I? What do I take credit for that was not mine at all, but 100% a gift from God?

I think I know at least 1 thing. I will try to be careful of ever accepting credit for it going forward.
