22 And it came to pass that the voice of the people came, saying: Behold, we will give up the land of Jershon, which is on the east by the sea, which joins the land Bountiful, which is on the south of the land Bountiful; and this land Jershon is the land which we will give unto our brethren for an inheritance.

I imagine a town hall meeting or city council meeting was held where the people voiced their opinions- but what I really wonder, and what I will ponder for the day, is where/when/how those opinions were made.

I imagine they were made first in family councils.

I imagine there were a lot of personal prayers said in small closets.

Hearts were open, then touched and softened.

Choices were made to show kindness where it was undeserved.

I love these people as much as those they let in. Some gave up their homes and fields. That is charity.

So many private family stories I wish I had.

But I'm grateful we have these glimpses to ponder.
