10 But the king said unto him: Inquire of the Lord, and if he saith unto us go, we will go; otherwise we will perish in the land.

I love how the king was like- hold up! Remember you were going to ask God- right? I mean I like you- but- just- go ask God.


(This was obviously a very big deal. A life or death decision.)


I might be in error making light of it here because I can guarantee there was not even a glimmer of humor in this desperate and sad situation.
